My CEL turned on today...I'm thinking its cuz of my intake

a) drove around with it for like a week no CEL...there was no CEL there when I changed it and drove to the store to get an extra hose cuz the kit came w/o one. So could this be the cause? Because the hose I got doesn't cover the whole intake sensor and like 2/3s of it is exposed...only the tip is coveed...it also bends a lot so my guess it might not get a lot of air
b) Haven't changed my oil for 6-7K miles...could that be a problem?
c) bogs like a bitch now from a stand still much more than before, but otherwise the car behaves normally 80mph at 3200 rpms....normal temps and everything.


So what does everyone think could be the cause? I'm going to change the oil this weekend...but I checked the level and its between the 2 dots + its not that dark in color. So could it be my intake problem?

 

Tell us what the code is, and we can tell you exactly what the problem is.

Do you know how to check the codes? There's a sticky on the top of this forum titled "ECU AND ABS CODES HERE" or something.

fixed it...thx for the help...aparently my map sensor was disconnected by my strut bar...guess thats why it appeared coming out of a corner...the bar flex wiggled it out of the connection
