Default Accord Type R CAMs

Does anyone know if these are better than the Prelude Type S cams and how much better if so? Anyone know where to get these?

Not for certain, you can get them in Europe I bet. Why not just get different aftermarket cams here? Like the AEM or something..

Look over in the Prelude forum, there are quite a few threads about cams, jun and crower.

cams are the actual shafts that turn and raise and lower the valves, cam gears are the gears that turn the cams, right?

To be ****, which I mostly am, camshafts are the shafts whose cam lobes (well the "lobes" are the actual cams... "an eccentric or multiply curved wheel mounted on a rotating shaft, used to produce variable or reciprocating motion in another engaged or contacted part"...) rotate and push on rocker arms which in turn raise and lower the valves… and cam gears (aka cam timing sprockets) turn the camshafts.

Dave, you forgot to mention that the cam gear or sproket connects the cam or cams to the connecting rod by means of the timing belt.
