The autobahn in Deutchland is crazzy
The autobahn is isane. I have had my ITR close to topped out at 150mph and have had cars pass me. I thought that it would do better against a porche or mercedes. I had a little clk 230 that was staying with me and I tried keeping up with a carrea but he pulled on me pretty good after 120mph I never lost sight of him but I wasn't going to catch him neither. It is just insane how fast everyone drives. The average speed is 100-110 in the right lane. Don't get in the left lane unless you are doing about 130mph. It is so hard not to get on it when driving. Is it safe to cruise in VTEC for long periods. @110mph in fith VTEC kicks in Im thinking that it might were out the valve springs. I took a trip from Frankfurt to Ramstien and ran it between 6,000rpms and 8,000rpms the whole way it took about an hour. I had just changed to oil the day before I was supprised to see that there was no oil consumption. I have read that some ITR.s ran at the track had a problem with this.
thats my country.
on the right lane the people normaly drive 90 - 130
trucks drive 90 and not faster. its nice race **** if they overtake another truck. can take some kilometers....
and you re on the airbase in ramstein?
so get me some parts to germany... will be cheap shipping to the airbase or?

hahaha. You shipped your ITR to Germany?
I think the ITR only use oil in VTEC at 100% throttle. You don't do that on the autobahn, except at topspeed. It will burn some oil if you drive topspeed for 1 hour.

That's km/h. Not MPH.

thats 90-130mph usually you have more than two lanes. usually about 4-5 and the land closet to the left is what I was refering to. the to far right lanes are for trucks.

In a recent trip to Germany I was able to travel on the Autobahn. Despite what I heard, I only witnessed a few cars traveling at speeds higher than 80-90MPH. We crammed 5 people into a little economy car (can't think of the name, but they love those over there) and hit 140KPH. The Germans were hootin' as the tiny eco-car started to shake at that high of a speed, but I wasn't all that impressed. My impression is that there are very fast cars that hit up the Autobahn, but it's not a constant flow of cars going 120-150MPH.
I used to put my Civic on cruise control at 119mph all the time... since the fuel cut was at 120mph.
It is amazing how fast you can get somewhere when there is no speed limit

there are these big *** audi wagons they look like the A8 and big mercedes that cruise at like 230kph thats 138mph all the time down the autbahn 5 and 3. Hell I had a little audi A2 pass me when I was @ 120mph or 200kph. what part of Germany were you visiting and what time of year. Even when the roads are wet people still do like 200kph. I slow way down like 130kph. I have seen one accident were a two cars were burnt to a crisp in the rain. I thought that the roads would be a lot more smoother than what they are. Sometimes it gets a little scarry when you hit a rough patch and don't expect it.

Here in switzerland the speed limit is 120 80 mph and wihtout getting your licence taken away you can go 90-95 mph and i over take cars like that all the time... Loads of people cruise at those speeds. The freeways are in really good shape here so no problems. 5th gear vtec is amazing!!! :-)
I went to germany in march. My friend over there took us to munich and we road on the autobahn and did 120 and we had to move over for other cars. it was insane in munich maesarati's are the friggin norm. I cant imagine driving one as fast as possible. I wish some american roads where like that.

I was in Germany during July of '02. We spent most of our time in Norderstedt, near Hamburg, but also took a touring bus to Berlin, Dresden, and Frankfurt. Cool that you can go as fast as you like, but again not as many cars going "so schnell".
