broken alternator stud!
the stud that comes out of the alternator which the power line bolts down to snapped when i was re-tightening it....it wasnt even snug before it snapped off so i couldnt have over torqued it...anyways are these studs replacable at all? any ideas on how i can fix this? TIA
it wouldnt really bother me to make the connection permanent, but i dont have access to a welder..i can solder it on but it would be pretty difficult, im not sure how i could secure it like that.
taking out the alternator would be the last thing i want to do, i just dont have time or the patients right now.
the nut on the alternator seems to get pretty fawking hot, is this out of the ordinary?
