This was going to be a reply to a post in some kill thread, but I decided that it made me mad enough that it should be a separate issue. so here goes the reply:

God please shut up with the MAd Skillz Yellow thing. Even if it was ever funny (not), it's old now. Just about the only time I ever hear it brought up is from non-ITR owners who want to somehow make up for the fact that they don't have one, so they find a way to bring down the owners to their level by implying that they are ricers. Even if I wanted to buy a black ITR, there were none left. And anyone here who knows me will gladly tell you that I am not a ricer.

Do you hate people that drive EBP Si's/Preludes and SSBP GS-Rs too? You paint this picture of yellow ITR drivers as 19-year old, Nike visor-wearing jackasses who drive with their seats reclined. Sorry but not all of us can drive a precious CW ITR or a stealth black ITR or a ******* f22 Accord for that matter.

 

I hadn't really seen this whole thing, so I know not of it.
All I know is I have mad skillz and my car is black, so yellow must not have anything to do with it.

Seriously, it's just guilt by association and all of us have to deal with it because we drive Honda products. You've got to deal with this stuff because of punk-assed ricers like **** running around in their yellow ITRs. Just try to let it roll off ya.

hmmm.....i drive a EBP Civic Si...and I don't see ITR drives like that at all....except for ThePunk!!

I feel your pain ... I hate it when they say my truck is "tizzite red." That pisses me off so much, I just want to drink a beer.

 

With that in mind, and having seen it on the other forums, I always thought of it as an affectionate term. I know they were always joking, and it is valid if it truly does bother you, but deep down it really was simply a joke.

I'm glad I've never mentioned the ...z yellow and now that you mention this I don't plan on it. My personal favorite color for a sports car is Yellow; be it Spa or Phoenix. (S2000, NSX, ITR)

 

You give an awful lot of emotional investment to something you think is so stupid.

As you state, it's clearly a joke (even if you don't think it's funny); just get over it.
