da vs dc
is there much difference between a dc's and a da's internals..suspensions..etc? the reason i ask this is because i want to buy an old da or even an old dc (running or not) and take it apart and put it back together...because i think the best way to learn something is to experience itself...its great that people post tutorials on DIY things (which i've been reading alot..spending 3-4 hours a day reading the forums..tutorials)..but still the best way to learn is to tinker with the stuff yourself...i currently own a 99 integra ls coupe..and i want to do much to it...but before i start molesting my baby internally i really want to know what makes her tick..etc... well thanks for the help
(i never own a da before so i dont know..only dcs...so thats why i am asking)

There isn't that much difference, you should look at http://www.g2ic.com if you want to learn about DAs. Engine wise, if you could take apart a B18A, you would also have the ability to take apart a B18C. Suspensions have slight differences, but are basically designed the same way (except for the presence of strut bars, slightly differently sized shocks, etc).
If I were you, and wanted to take a car apart and put it back together, I would find the cheapest way to do that possible - which would be to buy a 1990 Integra LS that has a million miles on it for like $500, then you can do whatever you want. I can guarantee that by working on the DA, you will gain a lot of confidence and expertise needed to work on your newer LS.

yea...man you're a psychic....i was planning on spending around $500 on a very used DA....damn scary...lol...anyways i bought a b18c even though my LS b18b1 has only 27k miles on it..i wanna build up the b18c and then swap it in my LS and turbo it....since its the first time i am actually going this far...i actually want some "practice" before my baby is molested...lol..but really thanks for the info
Well, good luck on all of the projects - definitely invest in a Helms for both cars, and looking at all of the DIY tutorials on cspeedracing, g2ic, team-integra, and now the new H-T knowledge base should help a lot.
