1300$$$ for tune and p28 IS this for real???
I just finished installing a turbonetics kit on my 00si and called up carb connection in Kirkland WA. They said it would cost about 1300$ for hondata and some tuning. Is there a cheeper way do get a decent tune.

Save yourself some money and buy a hondata and p28 from a dealer on HT for around 645 shipped. Tunning should range from 300-500. so for both hondata/p28/tunning no more than 1200 max or u're getting ripped off.

Uberdata lacks control compared to Hondata.
I should know, I own both, and both were tuned by a VERY good tuner in PA.

I have never tuned a car before but I have read a whole bunch of stuff on it. Go to http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata/ and they have great threads on how to make basemaps. A wideband is about 300-400 Bucks you need one of those. But Im pretty sure you will find a tuner in PA if you do get it.

lol it' free and it controls everything you want. Just b/c you spent the money on hondata doesn't mean uberdata's missing something

Ugh, not this again.....

hondata has some features that uberdata doesn't have, but nothing that makes hondata maps better than uberdata. Honda has more flash (less buggy software, 3d curves, averaging and autotune) but none of these are important for a DIY'r on a budget. Hondata cars are no better than uberdata cars, all else held constant, you have the same amount of control over fuel and timing (unless you are running N2O) For the $600 price difference between them, I'll take uberdata thank you
Try jeff hes located in easton PA good tuner heres his web site http://www.evans-tuning.com/

This guy specifically asked if there was a cheaper tuning option than hondata, so that is why I mentioned uberdata. I can't believe people are still buying hondata anyways when you can get the same results with uberdata for free. They are both kick *** fuel management systems, the only major difference is that one is free, pretty simple choice if you ask me...

Ive hearn numerous complaints about the customer service at hondata. **** you cant even request a password more than three times with the tunning program . Uberdata seems okay . it gets the job done well but if you go to the uberdat forum you see a bunch of "ive got problems thread" but Im pretty sure hondata gets those problems damn even aem has a bunch of problems. Almost none are bug free thats what I think.

Unfortunately.
But what gets me is how these guys act like they've discovered the Holy Grail, and best of all: IT WAS FREE!

GO with jeff evans aka. boosted-hybrid he in easton pa. jus got my hondata tuned by him.he has in house dynopack.cost me 400 to do all the tuning. he does hondata, uberdata, aem, and tryin crome.
that autotune feature on the hondata works like crap . and youd think that would be more of a diy tune anyway . but i love how people say , uberdata is for the diy'er . why??? because we didnt spend 800 bucks for a complete setup???? uberdata is tuned the same way hondata is
