I just bought 2002 honda accord EX and got it check from the mechanic......everything else was okay with the car but the front wipers are not working.....according to mechanic, someone turned the wiper too hard and so the know is broken and has to be replaced...he quoted 300-500 for that....can someone give me idea, if i can repair the wiper on my own or how much should I pay for that......Also, it is 2002 Honda Accord EX with 46K miles on that.....can someone please tell me, what would be the best price to pay for it.....I paid close to 13-15K for that.......

You got it checked after you bought it? Hmm..well yes you can do it on your own. I think you just have to replace the wiper motor. Get a service manual and do it yourself. Shouldn't be too hard. Also 300-500 seems a bit expensive to me.
