Default 4-1 2 piece header on mini me?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33631

I was thinking of putting this header on my mini me once i get it done. I put a 4-1 1 piece header on my car nad it bogged terribly. So i was looking at the stock header one day and noticed the design of it was a 4-1 2 piece design. So i figured just to get the same design but just a little bigger. I was wondering if anyone has tried this type of header or has any numbers to show if it is more of a high revving header or, should i just go with a 4-2-1 2 piece. Really need to know some real info.

Thanks,
Matt

fwiw, I've used a 4-2-1 2 piece from dc sports for about a year on my mini-me (a6 block y8 head) and it works great. I haven't heard too many good things about OBX parts before but that's just me. I'd personally want to take a look inside that collector. those welds look a little eh.

it bogged cuz the o2 is at the back of the collector near the cat. while on a stock header its like 10" from the ports.

my 88 si bogs once in a while, 4-2-1 2pc o2 near cat

to remedy the issue with the car bogging, just get an O2 spacer for the sensor, and that keeps it out of direct flow, but still allows the gasses to reach the sensor. If you can't find one, a muffler shop ought to be able to weld an extra nut onto the top of your existing O2 bung, that achieves about the same thing.

That's how they come on DC sport headers. Well for mine (it was used, so i can't really say much) the O2 bung is at the end of the 4-2-1 header before the 2nd piece.
