Yeah, it's been asked a few times on here. Most of time, actually, the posts have been flamed and people have been asked to search.....so in actuality, there are only a few good posts on it.

I'm not too familiar with the 91 Integra body style, as I'm assuming you have from your username.

In my 1997 LS, I didn't have any problems doing the swap. I only ran into a problem with the upper tranny mount. Back when I did it, there were no aftermarket mounts available and it had to be either fabricated or rewelded. Now there is an aftermarket one available. Again, not sure if they have it for the 2nd generation Integras.

As for problems afterwards? I didn't have any. You can't really screw up anything. As for problems DURING the process, there are always little things that makes things difficult. You will encounter this on all projects, whether it's a turbo install or even changing brake pads. I had some trouble finding a tranny mount, intermediary shaft, getting the reverse light to work, fabricating the "hole" for where the linkage/shifter went through and sealing it up, customizing the center console (since the 5-speed one is different), and a few other small things.

Basically, the consensus is.....if you have a hookup on the labor and/or know how to do it yourself, then by all means, go for it. Otherwise, shops will charge quite a lot for it. Expect over $2000. Sometimes that isn't even including parts.

In the end, whichever route you choose, you will be happy. I dropped one full second in the quarter mile with the 5-speed over automatic. 1 FULL SECOND. That's a lot. It became a lot more enjoyable to drive, at least for me.

thanx alot shamoo, u come through again. some guy said he got it done at a shop for 1500 or so.. which is a good price im guessing.

i just dont know what to do, i can invest in the auto/5spd swap, and then turbo the DA, but i heard that its hard to turbo a DA (since i have no experiance in that field) and that the DA's engine bay is nitorious for gettin really hot. so i think ima just get a wrx, since its what i've been wanting to do.

and another reason im leaning more towards that is, they have a new law for aftermarket exhaust's or whatever, that the exhaust has to look and sound stock, or u get pulled over, the tip cant even be bigger than stock. so if i decided to turbo the car, i'd have to get a new exhaust to help flow.. and i wouldnt be able to since there's that new damn law

Seriously, if you have the means to get a WRX, DEFINITELY go for it.

A few of my friends have that car and it's a great car. Fast stock, and easily modified to look good AND go fast. Plus, it's turbo already (duh) so the motor is pretty strong.
