sorry I am a little new at this stuff ...

1 - if I put a b16 head on a b18c block, would it raise the compression? ... by how much?

2 - roughly how much whp/tq should I expect from these mods:

b18c1 block (stock)
b16 head - PnP, skunk2 valve springs, skunk2 stage 2 cams, ti retainers
skunk2 intake mani
jdm dc 4-1 header
2.5" custom exhaust
j's racing cf intake
reprogrammed ecu (erick's racing)

sorry for the noob questions

 

if you put a b16 head on you will lose compression it will be like 10:2 so keep your GSR head sorry can't answer your second questions

If you have a GSR longblock, keep the head...if not look for one. As for guessing your hp, just do some searching...there are many posts that will give you an idea of what to expect from your set-up.

 

well ... I have a gsr head, but have a chance to buy a sorta built b16 head (listed in #2) for pretty cheap
