EF suspension?
What would be the best setup for an EF-8. Who makes the better sway bars and coilovers for this car? What honda can I take the rear discs off of for my EF...

the best coilover suspension i would say is apex. i'm not sure about sway bars, but ST is pretty good. about the rear disc, i believe the 88-91 CRX Si would fit onto the EF.
the coilover setup i would just go with blue Tokicos and skunk2 coilovers. they ride really decent. try to get the integra springs, that would make your ride more into a street and strip setup.
give us a call on those items if you're interested. we're having some speicals during this month, DEC.

For the rear discs, you can get it off a 90-91 Crx Si or visit http://www.fastbrakes.com and check out there rear disc upgrades (I would suggest getting the front upgraded before the rear if you are going larger then OEM size rotors)
Sway bars, its all up to you. Nuespeed, ST, and Eibach they all pretty good. Even some Si ones would be good.

I run the Tanabe Sustec Pro coil-overs for the 92-95 Civic on my 90 CRX Si, best settup I have tried to date.
Also I would recomend upgrading the rear sway bar only, leave the front bar stock, this allows your front tires to plant better and you will have better traction through the corners. Try Suspension Technique or Z-Speed for a good rear sway bar.

i'm going to suggest against the tokico blues. i have them on right now with skunk 2 coilovers. i want a harder shock and some harder springs. i don't care about comfort levels of ****. come on, our cars are dumped and made to go fast and handle well. if you want comfort don't mod a crx, you know? sorry, little rant there. look around and try to find a shock with a shortened stroke. that will handle better and they won't blow out as quickly.

for people who likes to ride slam, than i would go with the tanabes or teins. i had a set of teins on my civic. the car was 3 fingers off the ground and it feels great. i hear lots of good things about tanabe suspension also.
if you're more looking forward for the stiff rides which is short stroke, and hard springs i would go with custom ground controls.

Tein is **** (no not DA ****), I had HA's for a while now and they are leaking, also there is no support for Tein in U.S/Canada for rebuild and/or replacement. If you have any problems you have to deal with tein in japan. No point spending that kind of cash for shocks that don't have factory backing in this country. For the price of Teins you can get full custom Koni coilovers.Aswell there is full factory support of Koni in U.S/Canada.
Its like buying a Porsche here and then finding somthing is wrong with it and your dealer says you got to take up your probs with porsche in Germany.

Well everybody has there own opinions on each thing, and i respect that. im not saying your wrong because i have heard of the HA's haveing rust problems before. but i have never heard of them leaking. if i where you i would take my chances and send them back or talk to who ever you baught them from. didnt they come with a warrenty? Thats why on my next car im either going to get the RA's or N1's or more likley the Buddyclub sus. or maybe Zeal, but who knows. its all up the air right now.
But hey its all about what you want to spend. We only live once, as far as i know, so why not go all out.

Teins warrenty is to send it back and have them look at it and then if they decide its **** they will replace it, local dealers won't even look at it or ship it for you.You pay for the shipping.
You heard they rust! The paint on the shocks is bubbling up and flaking off because of all the rust. Also the sleeves(Yes Tein uses sleeves) are rusting.

That real fucked up. i hope i dont have that problem with mine. You also live in up norht though where they get lots of snow and stuff like that. I know my thing to the left says WA. but i im moving real soon to there and right now i live in the south. So snow is not a problem for me. I have heard of ppl just puting some anit rust stuff on there struts and that helps out. but im not sure. I wonder if you could take them do a paint shop and have them "rust proof" them or something. Its sounds like an idea but im not sure if its possible. if it is, its doesnt sound like a bad idea.
I got my rear discs off a 93 integra. They bolt right in... Here is some pics and a how-to http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill.../Disc2Drum.htm
