hMm..safe boost for b16a
Hey,
I bought a 2000 Honda Civic Si about three weeks ago, it came with a rebuilt b16a2 engine (4200$, receipt included) and I'm wondering what's the safest way to boost it? I've been looking at turbo sites for at least 3 hours (granted, I have no life). I've even read a good deal of the posts in this forum, and its all kind of melted into the same thing. Ideally I would love to have around 300hp touching the ground from my engine, if there was any way someone could link me to a site where they have Q&A that could help me, or just post a good plan for me, I'd appreciate it.
I'm not sure what's what..call me stupid, I won't mind. I'm not even sure I should've posted that in this forum or not, hope the mods don't get too pissed off..the technical lingo has me all confused
Thanks again,
Chris

300 whp, is pretty much the edge of the stock B16 block. I had the same car same motor on my old setup, I turned 278 at the wheels with hondata on a very conservitive tune, it was fun as hell on the street. I'd say go custom kit, check out inlinepro.com. They have really nice stuff with decent prices, an sc50, sc32, sc34 would all do you good and leave room to grow in the future. If you are gonna go turbo, do it right, don't skimp on the small stuff like oil lines and venting the block properly. I know it gets expensive real fast, but with quality parts and good tuning it will last quite a while.
