The time has come to let go of my baby. I don’t really want to sell her, but external circumstances have a way of altering your plans. I’m going to try to be as detailed as possible, so this may be a long read. You’ll also notice that I am going to be as forthcoming as possible about the history of this car. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
--General Info—
Model Year: 1999
Trim Level: LS (4-door)
Engine Code: B18B1
Mileage: 61,100
Location: Denver, CO
Warranty: 100,000 mile transferable
Modified: Moderate
Raced: Lightly
Collisions: Moderate Front-end
Price: $8,850 firm
--History—
I bought the car certified used from Courtesy Acura Isuzu in Denver, CO in June of 2002. The mileage was 29,000 at the time. Previously, the car was leased to an individual in Greeley, CO. CarFax history shows nothing out of the ordinary during the previous owner’s tenure. Almost precisely 13 months after I bought the car I was cut off by a minivan during rush hour at one of the busiest interstate interchanges in Denver. I avoided hitting the van, but ended up sliding on some sand/gravel that sent me into a spin. While spinning, the front end of the car made contact with the concrete barrier along the side of the road. The bumper cover and radiator support took the impact, but there was no other damage. Over the course of the next 10 months, I slowly built the car into what it is now. I saved up to buy parts, saved up again to have body shop work done, and saved up again to buy paint. Thankfully, I had a garage for a little over a year while all of this was going on. For those of you worried about damage from the accident, fear not. There are signs of it if you know where to look, but there are absolutely no residual problems from the damage. Suspension is 100% straight. The car tracks straight. Coolant, washer fluid, a/c, and all other systems were not damaged and are in perfect working order. Click here to see pictures of the damage and the rebuild... My original intention was to take the car back to the shop and have them fix the radiator support. However, I let it go because there have been no adverse effects.
The car has been auto-xed between 6 and 8 times (I can’t remember). It has been on a road track three times. You can ask any auto-xers on this forum about what effects auto-x will have on the car. Tire wear is the only main concern. Total road course time on the car right now is about 30 minutes. This type of use is much harder on brakes, but I feel that it isn’t as tough on the rest of the car. Brakes have been bled, and alternate front pads were used on the track.
So now you know the car’s total history. There are no other major incidents or abuse. The car has been driven roughly 12,000 miles per year daily with two 3000 mile road trips. Regular maintenance has always been performed, and the car rarely sees revs higher than 5k on the street.
--Modifications—
Some people want to claim that mods decrease the value of the car. I think that is true for some buyers but not others. So… I am willing to put the car back to stock as much as possible (or to any degree in between) if the buyer so wishes. Also, any aftermarket parts removed at the request of the buyer will NOT be included in the sale. Just think of the time and money I’m saving you to reinstall a bunch of parts yourself! The only parts that cannot be removed are the JDM front end, Type-R wing, stereo and the gauge cluster needles. So here is the list of mods…

-NAPA battery
-Kumho Ecsta HP4 195/60/15 all-season 60,000 mile tires (I really like these tires/used for 4500 miles)

--Buyer Input—
Here’s some extra info for you… Currently, the car has H&R Sport springs with stock shocks for its suspension setup. There is a rattle in the passenger corner that I cannot pinpoint. It's not a problem, as I've driven the car for over a year with no issues at all. I have an extra stock rear shock that I will swap out in an attempt to fix the rattle, if the buyer wishes. It will be included with the car, regardless. I also have stock springs and ITR springs. I can equip the car to the buyer's preference. Caliper paint can also be touched up if the buyer wishes. Buyer can have input on color.
--Other Maintenance—
There are some exterior spots that need a little attention. The car is priced right for the condition. But if a buyer wishes, I will have the work done for a slight addition to the price. (I may require a deposit for this.)
--Stock/Extra Parts Included—
Stock
-door lock switches
-dimmer switch
-front mud flaps
-“A” center caps
-springs
-rubber pedal covers
-one rear shock
-springs
Extra
-color-matched 4D rear handles (for keyhole delete)
-assorted headlight/other bulbs
-elbow piece from stock intake box
-1 set of additional springs (H&R Sports or ITR)
-OEM wheel locks for stock wheels.
I think that’s all, but I may find some more parts in the closet. [
]
--Additional Parts--
These are parts I will sell with the car for an additional cost.
-Used Carsound hi-flo cat (2" in/2.25" out) - $130
-Brand new Autozone replacement front rotors - $30
(I'm not selling parts separately until after the car is sold.)
--Pictures—
Please be aware that the stock LS/GSR wheels are the ones the car will come with. The Rotas aren’t in very good condition, and the tires are bald.

Here are some new pics I took today... Still for sale, BTW.
Let's start with the bad pics...
These two show the only remnants of the collision repair. You'll notice that the mounts for the radiator do not sit flush like they should.

The header that is currently installed... I traded a friend my 4-1 (with some bottom-out damage) for this 4-2-1 to try and gain some midrange back. You can't see in the pic, but I had to redrill the holes for the 2pc connection. Header is mechanically perfect. (Upper AC tube is not anywhere near touching the header)

I haven't sealed off my wiring from the JDM conversion. I just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't want to make any changes. So I decided to leave it unsealed in case the new owner wants to make changes. I've never had problems in the year+ that it's been installed with shorts or water or anything.

Since the JDM ITR headlights are the centerpiece of the conversion, I thought I should get some good shots of them. I polished them for hours when I first put the conversion on. Today they just got a quick wash. Please note that there is a slight haze. They are not absolutely crystal clear. They are in very very good condition, but I don't want the buyer to think they are perfect. (but I'm **** and most people can't tell they're slightly hazed)

Race prepped for the track day tomorrow. If you look close you can see the wheel damage on the rear. That's why I'm not selling these wheels with the car. It's probably the last time she'll wear them. [
]

In the first post I mentioned the track weekend that I would participate in. Well, in preparation for that I've inspected all of the systems to make sure she's ready. I'm happy to report that everything is in perfect working order. Mechanically, this car looks half of it's age. There are still cosmetic things to work out, but the under-hood stuff looks great.
Thanks for reading.

I was doing a little thinking today... I've had the car posted on a few message boards for just over a month now. I haven't had any serious offers, and I'm still not in a big hurry to sell this car. So if you stumble across this thread and it's a couple months old, you can still shoot me an email. I will probably still have the car. I will figure out the price at that time based on what I have/haven't done to the car and what the current condition/mileage is. Email is natef82 "AT" hotmail.com (replace "AT" with @).
Also, I'm willing to consider any trade for a 4X4 SUV or truck.
And does anybody know how long a thread can go before it becomes archived?
