V-AFC tuning w/o a dyno and wide O2 sensor?
how would one tune a v-afc by himself? im not looking for maximum power here, just a safe setting. i know that i really need to go to a dyno and have a wide O2 sensor hooked up to get perfect results. but i just want to tune it somehow right by myself for now.
this is what i have tried so far: rev the motor and feel how it revs. if it's resisting, then add some more fuel or less fuel. but the thing is, i havent noticed any apparent patterns. like i can lean it out or make it richer and often get the same "rev-happiness" if u know what i mean.
i know people have done it by themselves, so if anyone knows anything, please tell me

I've never heard of anyone tuning it by themselves.
Seriously, think about what you're saying. Tuning an engine without a dyno???

maybe a cheap A/F meter, and a BIG hill with people in the car so the motor will be under load. Then again, the cheap A/F meter isnt gonna be real acurate but its a start. A little safer then just richening and leaning it out like your doing
alright, well, i was going to go to a dyno eventually. now that im going home on the 21st, from VA to CT, i was thinking that i could stop at some shop on the way and get this done. im comming up on i-81 and then to i-84. i've heard of IMPO Peroformance in PA. anyone know any other shops on my way that can dyno tune?
btw, what about CT, NYC, MA? any shops in those areas?
