ok a couple of months ago i bought a 86 crx hf to replace my winter car. (a stupid jetta)yuck. any way since then i have worked on it here and there but now i am way behind schedual and i am running out of time before winter. i had hoped to have the body work done by now but i dont. any way i dont really have to sell it but i dont really have any use for it at this time, and i dont think that i am gonna be able to put the time into it to get it on the road for the winter, so i cant sell the jetta. this is a problem and i hate to see it just sit there all winter in the snow. looking for 650 obo to a loving home. here is what i have to say about the car:

Interior & Exterior
it is a 1986 crx hf. the body is in rough shape, i replaced the rear hatch with with an si hatch, and also replaced the bumper. there is rust around the wheel wells and on the drivers side i think it is the whole way through, pass side is not bad at all. the floor boards where all rusted so i put two sheets of 20 gauge galvanized steel on them then fiber glassed the top and bottom and undercoated the bottom. then i stripped the whole interior and coated the floor and hatch with truck bed lining. i have carpet to put back in, but it looks awesome how it is.(dont ask why i like it because i dont know). the windshield was cracked so i bought one from a junkyard and put it in. there are some small chips in it so down the road you might need to put another one in but it will pass inspection no problem. right now the car is two different colors, but once the body work is done, it will look really nice to paint. tires are not bad, but you might want to replace them, and i have a set or two extra that we might be ale to work something out.


Engine & Tranny

they are both the original hf engine and tranny with only 143k. the tranny is stiff from not being used but shifts good. it has a grind on the down shift from 3rd to 2nd gear, but i dont think it is bad. i think once it gets back out on the road and used it will be fine. the engine could use a good tunup. starts right up, but you have to rev the engine a couple of times to get it to idle stedy. the engine sounds really good though. no ticking or anything like that. a new set of plugs,plug wires, and maybe a carb cleaned and i really think it will run flawlessly.


Other

the only real problem with the car is that right now i cant get the turn signals to work. i really dont have the time to mess with it. so i think anyone who could sit down with it and paly around could figure it out. right now i just dont have the time. i have to many other jobs to take care of and getting other peoples stuff done has to come first. if youhave any questions at all just let me know, i live in clearfield pa 16830, my name is JJ and my cell # is 814-592-6640 if i dont pick it up just leave a number and a message. looking for $650 obo, i just want out of it what i put in, and even at that i am taking a little bit of a loss
