ls wit b16 tranny or gsr? faster? gas mileage?
hows it goin...i hav a 95 accord rite now ( http://www.cardomain.com/id/pimpaccord95 ) and im either bout to do a h22 swap or jus get an integra. As you know, integra LS/GS are dime a dozen but gsr's are a lil harder to find...i was wanderin which do u think i would be a happier wit...i like sudden acceleration and dont care bout top end speed...and i read that he ls wit the b16 tranny is pretty bad so i was thinkn i might do that and it would be relatively cheap but hows the gas mileage like that cuz i do alot of 80 mph travel on the inerstate so ...or do u think u jus shoot for the gsr...if i go gsr im getin a turbo fo sure ! but i was thinkn jus a built ls wit the b16 tranny might be good enough for a quick daily driver u know... i jus love to rev up beside like camaros and mustangs and then leave em ..thankz
my buddy's got a h22 in his accord and boostin it @ 7psi......and it waxes my GSR.....h22 has more torque anyway....but a gsr could easily make the same power
i have b18b1 (ls) with GS-R tranny and i get about 270 miles per tank boosted. but sinc u have an Accord..id go with H22.

Why is a LS with a b16 tranny bad? By all means it will satisfy your want for quick acceleration and is "relatively cheap" as compared to your other endeavors. Conversely, gas consumption is more dependent on throttle response. Take for instance GSRs or even SIs. They all have short gearing yet they still average decent miles per gallon. I can't see the reference that you're trying to make?

Eh? I'm getting mixed messages. So what's the deal? Do you want a new car? Boost your old car? And GSRs hard to find? If you have the money (which apparently seems to be the case since you're already thinking GSR + boost or H22 + boost) you should move up to a better platform to begin with (such as Evos or STIs) if you really want quick launches and mad acceleration w/o traction issues.
And for your information, v8 camaros and 99+ mustangs GT are by no mean slow. They're 14 sec quartermile stock cars. Don't be a ricer and think a i/h/c/e SOHC can beat everything on the road...
