oops: Timing belt adjuster nut washer
I put a new everything (almost) on the front of my 92 Accord LX engine (195,000 miles), was cleaning up the old parts, and picked up the old timing belt tensioner pulley/bearing, and much to my horor, there was the timing belt adjuster nut washer hiding under there instead of on the car where I know I put it!!!
This was obviously the work of Garage Gremlins.
How can I get rid of them? Bait? Traps? Repellent?
I don't trust that the timing belt has the proper tension now since there's no washer and tightening the nut could've moved the adjuster pulleys. Looks like it's time to pop off the valve cover and tear into it again....
