Default Help!!! Cranking Problems

This is pretty weird to me. My car is having problems cranking. Its a 1998 Honda Accord V6 with 95,000 miles. It runs great. I just replaced the spark plugs. But sometimes I have to try to crank it several times, and then it cranks. Once it is running it runs fine. When I am cranking it tries to turn over but wont til after several tries. And this is only sometimes, cause at other times it cranks perfectly. I am totally confused.. Please help me.

First I would check your battery terminals for corrosion. and clean if needed. I had the same problem and that fixed it.

I thought about that, but if it were the battery would it be trying to turn over?

You said that the check engine light comes on right after the car starts and then flshes? This would be a mis-fire code. Check to make sure all the spark plugs and wires are tight and that none of the wires are broken. Also check to make sure the wires are tight on the dist. cap. If you haven't replaced the cap and rotor yet you may want to do that as well.

Yes it only flashes for about 30 seconds. So i may need a new dist cap and rotor? or even spark plug wires or all 3?
