Default New Alpine DVD head unit

I know this topic has been gone over before.. but does anyone know if the new Alpine IVA-D300 has the option where you can make the screen come out an extra ½ inch or whatever so it won't hit the climate controls? I have a chance to get one for a really good price, but I don't want it if my screen is going to be forced to tilt downward and distort the picture... and no, I don't want to stick it where my a/c vents are (even though I don't have ac)..

this is what I did on my Clarion one.

flip your DIN kit upside down and mount the DVD on the lower DIN slot.

Adjust your tilt on your DVD to tilt forward a bit, and it should clear the climate controls.

Not a perfect fit, but OK for me, I can live with it, I didn't want to modify my console so that's what I did.

BTW, one more thing, you can space it out further if you don't want it to hit the controls just make sure you secure it well on the rear with a bracket or something.

Damn.... theives.... just watch out...

I will check today at work. 94
