Default Will a B16a2 DC 4-1 Header fit a Type-R?

I was wondering will the B16a2 DC 4-1 header fit a JDM B18c TYpe-R motor, or how bout a stock GSR header?

they will both fit....gonna have to bend the bottom bracket thing that holds the header to the block...kinna near the flange(you'll know wut im talking about)

but other then that it all hooks right up

no, the b16 header is made for the shorter deck height, if i'm not mistaken

for a b18/b20 you'll need the b18 header

I tried putting a b16a2 dc sport 4-2-1 header on my car the other night and did not fit...i dont know if the deck is bigger or the oil pan was bigger but could not get it to reach the exhaust studs and the flange at the collector is angled the oppisite way and the mounting braket is off by 2 inches....i dont know if the 4-1 will be the same way

I have heard, never seen that the b16 header is shorter then the b18, and does not fit.

Isn't the block height difference only like 7mm?

i always thought that matching head codes' (PR3) should fit but it was just a matter of length thereafter?

One important thing to note here, regardless of whether it fits or not, is that the size of the primaries on the DC Sports B16 header is smaller than those on the ITR version (or at least that is the information that I've seen). I discovered this fact when I made a post in another thread stating that the "USDM" DC 4-1 for the ITR application and the JDM DC 4-1 both have identical primary diameters, which I've personally measured and confirmed. However, another member in the thread stated that he'd measured a DC 4-1 for the B16 application, and found that the primaries were smaller than those on the DC JDM 4-1. Just a small FYI.

I know the B16 header will bolt onto the B18 block, but are the header lengths the same?
