resleeving to 1.9L?
Hello everybody,
I currently have a b17a with bolt ons and was considering resleeving the motor,
if possible, to a 1.9L. I know it may be cheaper to go with a LS block, or go with a CRV block but I like to work with what I have. Anybody has any recommendations or feedback?? Does anybody have experience with reliablity after resleeving??
thanks for any suggestions

if you resleeve your block and want to bore it a 1.9L then you will not be able to use any stock pistons b/c obviously you changed your bore size and I think they only make up to .25 over on stock pistons...you will also need a custom head gasket b/c honda will not have one to fit a 1.9L bore which is what 83mm?...well best wishes...if you re-sleeve just go and broe to a 2.0....it's a nice round number
...then again i am biased

No !!! If you resleeve this block using sleeves for a B16 you could go to the 84mm sleeve's. The B17 is basically a stroked B16! Not sure on the displacement but it wouldn't quite be a 2.0. HTH
