hey guys, i need some questions answered...
Guys...... i have this sickkkkk deal i wanna get but i dont know if it will pass smog....
this is the crx im going to get
Its a 1988 CRX DX w/ zc motor swap
Engine:
-DOHC 1.6 ZC Mild port and polish, 3 angle valve with radius, head milled .050 6k miles on engine since swap earlier this year. New timing belt, head gasket, water pump.
-AEM Cam Gears
-AEM Cold-air intake (will take off and put stock on for smog)
-DC Headers
-Custom Exhaust (sounds sick!)
-JG Throttle body and matched manifold
-B&M Fuel Pump
-MSD Ignition
Tranny:
-ZC Tranny rebuilt with usdm Si final drive (4.25)
-All new synchros
-ACT Street clutch with ACT lightened flywheel
-Equal length integra axles
-Skunk2 Short shifter with skunk2 ***
Brakes/Suspension:
-1992 integra front/rear disc brakes/suspension
-Integra Master cylinder, brake booster, and prop valve
-Hawk street pads and motul brake fluid
-Koni sport yellow fully adjustable struts
-Neuspeed race springs
-Suspension techniques sway bars
-Full polyurathane bushing kit
-Front/rear strut tower braces
-15'' konig tuners with new yokohama avs 195/50/15
Interior:
-Del sol seats with red stripe
-Autometer shift light.

so...... lol.... will this pass smog? if not.... what should i do? what would be the best thing to do to make it pass smog if it doesnt... and oh yes... i live in california..
....
oh yes... and im getting this car for $2,000................

Move the hell out of ****-hole California. All the BS enviornmental laws choke worse than the pollution. Clean burn is great, but Cali is TOO extreme. California "the land of the fruits and nuts" will get it when it finally cracks off the US. Get a PO Box in Arizona or Nevada, register and inspect your car there.

So you gona let a smog problem stop you from getting that car?
I mean come on man there are shops that if you pay a lil bit extra
they will pass smog regardless even if it fails. Dont tell me you dont know about a shop like that

It will never pass. Just Email me the guys phone # and I will bring the car to MN where we don't have any smog tests

Here in VA, if you spend $600 trying to get your car to pass emissions, they write you a waiver, and you're off the hook for two years... Do they do that in CA?
