I just purchased a MBC/Booster/ Prop valve and the MBC has 7/8 stamped on it. I will be converting to 5 lug all around so is this the right MBC? The junkyard says it's off a 00 Si but I read somewhere that I need a 15/16 MBC. Please help!

 

99-00 Si has a 15/16th MC and the EX has 7/8th. But i hear that the canadian Si has 7/8th. You should be fine with the 7/8th

 

damn that sucks, i had a feeling i got the wrong part. whats the difference between 15/16 and 7/8? can someone explain this? canadian si has rear disc too right? also can anyone tell how I can identify a Si prop valve? cause it doesn't really say much on on the prop valve either.

Canadian SI = Usdm EX

You'll be fine with the 7/8 cylinder.

 

actually I've seen numerous Civic Si 99-00 have either the 7/8th M/C or 15/16 m/c I have no idea why but I have used both a 7/8 M/C and 15/16 on a 11"inch big brake kit and showed no difference between pressure of the pedal with either M/C

Yeah you are fine I have a 99 civic si BMC/BB and the master cylinder is a 7/8''

 

I am using my Stock Prop Valve on my 98 civic htbk.. and I run 11" fastbrakes front kit and rear 99-00si brakes..and have shown no ill effects with pedal pressure or any other problems ..plus I heard the Cx/dx model prop valve is identical to the 99-00SI prop valve.. but I do not know if the Ex model prop valve are the same..and my setup has seen a few days at streets of willows in 100+ degree weather

 

There is no way to tell the difference in the prop valves. there are no distinguishing marks. i compared my ex and si ones.

 

great.. does anyone have writeups on installing the booster? i hear it is difficult to install the booster. Anyone have info on this?
