well ya.......planning out a turbo project for this winter and i came across this masterful blow-off, just wondering what it sounds like.

pssssht....vsssp..... pow ....bang. can anyone compare it, or have a sound clip, or tell me if it even sounds good?

as far as i can tell that 625 is not the correct price, even in the turbonetics catolog it lists as like 325....

Well, i haven't heard it but i can assume it depends on boost levels. I can guess that given the size, that at low boost levels it won't work that well (simliar to the tial) and sound similar to the the tial at low boost levels.

Now, at high boost levels (12 - ?)

I can assume its just a great woosh, might sound a little turbo xs rfl like given the trumpet, but not sure

 

its just really f-ing loud....my friend had one on a scricco with a t04 30psi

Almost on the same subject, but a little off... Does anyone know of a website to preview different blow-off sounds. I know there used to be one, but I forgot it. Also, does anyone know what blow-off sounds like more of a wow wow wow (usually found on skylines and supras), rather than a psshhh. Haha, I know the wow wow's aren't that good of a description, but its the only way I could describe it.

yep thats what i meant...ill try and find some..the same guy now has a tube frame 01 beetle with a 454 in it... if i can come up with some pics ill post them...

Anyways, I would like to hear that godzilla as well. I know loud BOV's are ricer and all, but I kinda like them

I would go with the RFL but I have read a lot of bad stories when it comes to high boost ( &gt;15-20psi).

 

well with such a large piston in it i would imagine it is built for very high boost, someone hear has to know someone that has one.....get us a sound clip

like what?
the only problems i've had with it are at almost no boost. It won't open correctly if i let off the throttle lightly and i'll get compressor surge.
