Default Help me diagnose the problem, plz.

Ok, today my 88' CRX Si(stock motor) started acting a little funny. At very slight throttle in any gear, its fine, i'm going by the sound of the exhaust to explain this. At very slight throttle it has a clear exhaust sound, at half or full throttle, the exhaust "putters", like its not putting out a full stream of exhaust and it pushing out a little bit, stops and a little bit, stop and so on, its very fast and kind of makes the car shake. I am guessing that one of the cylinders isn't firing due to spark plugs or spark plug wires but I am not certain. Does this sound like a logical answer for this? What else could it be? If my description is too vague, I can try to elaborate more but that was the best way I could put it.

sounds like u need a general tune up if its not throwing any codes. start with the plugs, wires, cap, rotor and timing check.
