Stock bore for D16 engines are 77mm, right? The smallest cometic hg is 77.5mm. Is this going to be a problem?

Anyone using cometic hg's on a stock bore D16y7?

75mm is stock. Cometic makes a wide variety from 75-79mm..

oops. I meant 75mm as stock bore. don't know why i wrote 77.

it's weird though, i checked cometic's site and on their brochure 75mm is not listed.

i have a 75mm stock bore cometic on my y8.....

 

my friend is...he got a .051 thickness high pressure one. It seems a lot thicker than stock but only lowered compression by .1 according to a comp calc i did. Either way, we mated it with arp head studs. On his greddy kit, y7 with y8 mani, the wg vac hose popped off, it hit 17psi a few times before we caught on to why it was so fast, and it still runs fine now that were back down to reasonable boost levels
