Default OT: 4 AM (VIR) bleh

I just got through prepping the car for this wkend. Now I have to go home & get all my stuff ready. Then I have to be at work at noon... eeeesshh. Drive to the track after work... pass out when I get to room.

Is it like this for other racers, too?? Or is it just me?

Pete < wants sleep

Yep unfortunately it is. And some times we even leave stuff to do on the car when we get to the track before the first session! It's all part of the game.

Corey - who wishes the VIR officals would let a cargo plane land on the back straight, but realizes there is a hellapad so wants a sky crane instead

Pete? Is that really you? The same Pete who was making fun of *me* for all my eleventh hour, last minute car prep for CMP?

A couple pieces of advice. First...get used to it, this happens all the time. Second...make sure you tighten down those caliper bolts. They're important.

Wash?

The fact that the forecast calls for rain means none of us need to wash our cars because they are going to be filthy after 2 laps anyway.

That just saved me 45 minutes!

Jon
leaving in 3 hours, 41 minutes...

the wash is to remove nasty bird **** and berries that are encrusted on the front of my car

Morgan- who is not 100% sure that "encrusted" is even a word

Hey, be glad you aren't swapping motors two nights before the event and still have to finish, mount race tires and deal with a wife that is 8+ months pregnant!

Well obviously. She is pregnant.

Sorry, couldn't help it.

Once the third trimester starts... there's no dealing. Just agree and try to keep a low profile!

I don't miss those days...
