It is a 6.5" speaker. Most aftermarket speakers have a bigger magnet, and they are deeper. You'll need to trim the plastic speaker bracket to accommodate the bigger speaker, unless you're using OEM replacment speakers, which I doubt you are.

It is a 6.5" speaker. Most aftermarket speakers have a bigger magnet, and they are deeper. You'll need to trim the plastic speaker bracket to accommodate the bigger speaker, unless you're using OEM replacment speakers, which I doubt you are.
You would have to use a custom speaker bracket if you were to fit a 6.5 inch speaker. The stock bracket will only fit a 5.25 inch speaker. And if you try to enlarge the hole to fit a 6.5, there will be nothing left of the bracket. But even if you make a custom bracket, you will probably have window interference problems.
I work for circuit city in the roadshop(car audio) we had many ef's come into the shop and such. I put 6 1/2 alpine type s speakers in the front with no problem at all. As for the rear you will need to modify the rear brackets no big deal. Oh yea and for the front just use 3 self tapping screws and just screw it in to the mount It'll hold.
