98 Accord trunk CD changer connector location
Hi
I'm looking for the trunk cd changer connector location. When I purchased the car, the salesman said that the trunk cd changer connector is pre-wired. So, I'm looking for this connector.
The reason for this is, I want to hookup my iPod as a CD changer. I want the installation to be as easy as possible. I think this may be an easy way without disassembling the whole dashboard.
Thanks.

if it is then you should find it inside one of the rear panels in the boot, normaly the drivers side.

you may find that it has not been instaled then.
here in the uk it is not instaled at the factory, it is only put in if you buy the cd changer.

What he meant to say was that the radio can control a CD changer. All this means is that there is a plug in the back of the radio that you can plug the CD changer into.
Assuming that an Ipod works like a CD changer, and I'm not sure that it does, you would need an adapter to plug it into the back of the head unit.
I installed a trunk mounted Alpine CD changer in my '99 Accord (has a tape player head unit) in late '98. I just needed an adapter to make the plug from the CD changer fit into the back of the head unit.

Thanks for all your responses.
Yes, I would like to plug my iPod in to the back of the radio with the CD changer control.
Did you have to dismantle you dash to wire your CD player? Or is there a plug in the trunk for the CD changer?
My iPod (MP3 player) only has a headphone out.
Thanks.
