Default how can I tell?

this car im looking to get, has a d16y7 in it wich I am sure of. I check the stamp on the block. this week i am going to have it checked out by a mechanic thats a friend of my fathers, to just see whats wrong with it.
my question is - he says he swaped the motor in with 20k on it and has only gone another 20k, so therefor it only has 40k on the motor. The speedo shows 160k, is there anyway that I can tell for sure that the motor only has 40k on it. Any spots that show wear that will get worse and worse with more and more miles?

not sure if this is a stupid question but I would like to know if it really only has 40k on it.

u wont really be able to tell,

but obviously a motor with 40k is gonna look pretty damn new. shouldnt have any leaks , and should have the factory hondabond in various places.

check the inside of the distributor, that can actually tell a lot, also do a compression check, very inexpensive, that'll tell you if he's been beating it

well, I know for sure there is no leaks, I also drove it and it seems very nice. smooth and whatnot. this is the 2nd hatch that I drove and this one seemed to be in better condition driving wise. The motor is very clean and just the normal dirt on the block.
