Here's a tricky one.

My driver side door is shut and I can't get it open.
I haven't investigated it at all and I'm sure I will figure it out, but maybe there is a trick that sombody here knows of to make it easier to fix. I'd like the door open when I try to resolve the problem. It would make it a lot easier to get my hands in there and stuff.
The door panel is off, the door handles (both the inside and outside handle) don't do anything, and the lock moves up and down like it should - everything looks good.
Nothing is jamming.
Nothing is diconnected.
Is there anthing I can press on or pull up on inside the door to open it? I tried pulling on all the rods in the door and that did nothing. I want to know if there is anything at the actual mechanical hinge assembly that I can move to make the door open.
Anyone ever have to do this????

Sounds like you rotated the door striker-latch over one too many notches, effectively locking the door in place.
It happened to me once a long time ago, and my dad had to get it open for me. I forgot what he did, but it was over my mechanical-knowledge (at the time) head.
How did it initially get shut in place?

Maybe you can unbolt it from the hinge, you can get to them from the fender well area, but this might only apply to the CRX.
What the hell did you do in the first place?

removing the hinges will only allow you to move the door slightly, since it'll still be attached to the rod on the other side.
you can do one of three things:
1. break the door handle covers on the outside and unlock/release the door locks that way.
2. use a slim jim and somehow pull the rods to unlock/release the door.
3. pry open the door panels and do it that way. you'll destroy the door panels though..

Door panels are not on.
Pulling/pushing on the rods does nothing.
Handles are lockless so popping the handle off won't gain access to any locking rods or anything.
It's probably something to do with the handles anyway.... just not sure what it could even be.
Handles were off for paint and I may have screwed the opener adjuster on them a bit too little or too much.
I'm not sure how that would affect the door opening from the inside though.
Door doesn't open from inside or outside.
