Ok so first traffic sucks *** on the 101 and I had left early this morning, anways it was pretty much stop and go for 40 min in traffic. Then I noticed that my temp gauge was a lil over midpoint towards the hot side... which is odd since I recently had my radiator replaced and worked on. Maybe the thermostat? Although that was replaced too... anyhow.. after noticing this traffic picks up a bit and I slowly creep back to 75 from about 2 mph.

Now as I'm diving while in 5th it almost seems like the engine cuts in and out. Not like it shut off but more like sputtering. I started to pull over but noticed that after downshiffting to fourth it comes back so I wasn't sure if it was my clutch (which didn't make sense" but I thought it might be something with my fuel?

I remember with my old 56 Ford when my fuel filter was toast it would sputter off and on..

SO any iteas to what this might be? Anyone experience similar probs.. thats for any info!

 

if your going 2 miles per hour in 5th gear.... you would bog sick im suprized it didnt die. and mabe one of the fans didnt kick in? for the overheating thing or you dont have any coolant in there? i dotn know just trying to help out

 

Just to restate my statement bout the car... to clear up any confusion or anyone going what a moron!

I wasnt doing 2 MPH in 5th gear. What I meant was i was driving between 2mph and 10mph for about 30+ min in traffic. When traffic finally cleared up and I actually was able to drive faster I noticed some probs. I was doing 75 in 5th and noticed a prob after about 10 min of driving at 75. Still not sure what it is, gotta get it fixed real soon though.

maybe check that you're not losing pressure in your coolant system somewhere. Also check your ignition components
