You should be able to order any Honda part from a Honda dealership or parts supplier, even if it didn't come in a USDM car. You just need the part number.

not true. I've asked dealers if they would order me stuff and they said no.

Sometimes they may just think that. I'm pretty sure that's where people I know get their JDM pistons from.

People tell me they have had to tell dealers "Trust me, you can get it."

See if you can find a part number and give them ONLY that. Don't say what it is.

I could be wrong about all this, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. It may be different for something as big and heavy(compared to pistons) as a diff.

Try PM'ing BERT-O about all this. He gets OEM parts for cheap, and can probably answer your question either way.
