Default MSD or not

Has anyone installed a msd ignition. I've read articles that say stock Honda ignitions are great no need for msd. Any success stories with msd power increase.

i dont have any dyno results but i put one on a transam and we dynoed it and it made less power i have one on my crx but i havent dynoed mine so i dont know but i cant feel anypower loss but if you have the extra money just go with a msd 6a not the 6al or the sci those are bogus sci is exact same thing as 6al the al only has a soft touch rev limit.

No need on a NA motor. I'm only using it because I'm juicing and need the revlimiter to cut spark instead of fuel.

If you get a MSD, go 6AL, not a SCI, they are the same thing.

What if you're running 13.4:1 or so CR and are revving to 10k?

No need for blaster coils or anything?

put it this way the higher the combustion pressures are the stronger spark your gonna need to jump the gap so if you have forced induction then msd would come in pretty handy.

This is the deal with MSD.
Most people 99% think that all you need is the MSD and coil.
what they don't realize is that all that still has to go through the spark plugs.
if you get an MSd or any other aftermarket ignition system, you have to upgrade
or at least put new spar plugs.
Also, you need bigger gap in order to get the max out of it.
Now, if you really want to get your money's worth out of it, you MUSt dyno the car.
Play with the spark plug gap, and timing. if you can afford it, use octane booster on a regular basis.
i run my CRX with B18C5 on 105 octane only.
I got quite a jump in horse power when I got the MSD dynoed.

I have a MSD 6A system w/ my turbo setup...can't really notice that much of a difference though.
