After putting in a new clutch, the car car made it just out of the driveway. The car would shift fine but when you let out on the clutch there was NO engagement. After pullig the tranny out again, the pressure plate was locked in the disengage posion(springs flat). The throwout bearing was fine and the pressure plate was bolted in correctly(alignment and lbs). Anyone ever heard of this before? Any thoughts as to what happened?

 

are you sure that it is the right pressure plat for that car also the pressure plat could just be bad, well the spring. i would return it and buy a new one.
