Default Hello to all the EF hatch owners from Detroit!

I just wanted to say hello to all the EF owners on this board! I have been looking on and off for two years looking for a message board like this for our EF hatchbacks. It seems every other site everyone talks about the newer models I guess cause there are not too many good condition EF's left out there. Well I chose to buy my 1990 Civic DX hatch in 1999 because it was cheap($1900) and had no cancer on the body. I always liked the newer Civics because they looked more modern but I came to love my '90 DX. Plus I loved how low EF's get when you lower them and they are still drivable! I bought it for a winter car with full plans of tuning it in spring of 2000. I had the stock engine running stong with new fuel injectors, distributer cap, battery, and Mobil 1 synthetic oil(. It ran like a champion that winter. But in spring I got in a four car accident in which I rear-ended a 2000 Jeep Wrangler, which in turn, pushed into the two cars in front of him. The two cars in front of me were brand new and were TOTALED! They were taken off on flatbeds! My car the smallest suffered hood, headlight, radiator and support damage! It was still drivable though! I took my wounded pride home were she sat for the next six months. I finally got around to getting an estimate from my most trusted body shop guy. The damage was $2300. Thats right more than I bought the car for. Well I had 3 g's in the bank so I looked for another 90-95 Civic hatch. Nothing worth a dime. So in true EF HERO status I started my babies comeback tour! How many people would save a car in the situation I had? Not many i'm sure. I figured I didn't have anything to lose since I knew I serviced the engine well and it ran strong. Well I got it fixed and it looked great and got me through a harsh Michigan '00-'01 winter. Come spring of '01 I get the HIN fever and want to build a Detroit mucsle car assassin in which all rednecks can ponder about. I have been working on it since March '01 and have choosen to work on it in several phases. Phase one was to have the entire exterior reworked to perfection and repainted a new color. The only custom mod made was my antenna was shaved, and not to relocate it either. THERE WILL BE NO STEREO SYSTEM! This will be a purpose only project. The engine, trans, and interior have been removed also. As of Dec. 1st phase 1 is complete. The exterior is mint! I will post pics in a few days. But for now all I have is the pics of my project when I started in March. DOHC DX, I am sure you will appreciate my original color! Your girlfriend is very good looking too! She's a keeper if you likes you and your hatch. 99% of the girls who see my hatch say its stupid but I had a girlfriend this past summer who was a stripper and she helped me pull my engine! Now thats a woman. Anyway her job and ego got to her and we went our seperate way. Well I won't bore you guys any longer and I hope you like my story and project!
