I swapped a sohc jdm d15b vtec into 90 si hatch, everything is fine except vtec is not kicking in, i am running the p08 ecu which is the stock ecu for that motor. I am getting code 7 which is TPS, throttle position sensor, could this be causeing vtec to not kick in? yes i did do the obd0 to obd1 conversion.

 

you may also want to check the oil pressure switch , TPS is one of the problems as well, because my VTEC wouldnt open either due to TPS, I replaced it with the oil pressure swith now it opens up just fine

 

If youre throwing that Code VTEC Will not Come on.

 

one time i didn't sleep all night and stayed up and i felt like i was tripping on coke or something, i remember i couldn't tell if vtec was kickin in or not, i was tying it while delivering chinese, make sure you've slept. sorry lol, just thought i bring some positive feeling to the problem.
