i know some one with a gsr motor on a automatic transmission he did a swap but im wondering if he would have vtec? can some tell me anything about this

 

the VTEC is in the motor not the tranny. now to take full advantage of VTEC you need a 5speed. if its a auto, he probably still has the LS ecu which will only redline at 7k. and if he has a ls ecu its not programmed for VTEC so i dont know how the hell hes doing it.

 

obviously with a swap he would have gotten an ECU

 

i dont even know why i posted this is dumb, and not necessarily would he have gotten a ecu if he didnt even get a damn manual tranny. that would have been the first thing i would have got before the damn motor. thats like buying hotdogs and no buns.

wasup fellas im new here so dont blast me but dident some of the four doors come gsr and equipped with auto(pos)trans? just thinkin i might be wrong though

maybe he has a jdm ecu or a chiped p28 which comes AUTO/VTEC

jdm gsr's DID come in auto, might have a JDM auto tranny and ecu
