Default Intake (Keep it or replace it)

Should I keep the short ram AEM intake that came with the car or replace it with an AEM cai? OR, should I get an icebox for the intake? Would the power gaines even be worth the money?

whats wrong with the filter? if its dirty just use the k&n filter cleaner. i use it on my intake filter and its not a k&n. works well though

Depends on wat u goin to do to the car later. if yur just goin to leave the car like tat then change the intake to the cold air(if tats wat u really want), if not all short ram intakes r about the same. u can even go to homedepot to make yurself a homemade intake( the preformance is the same wit most short ram). go cold air if tats all u goin to do to the car. if u r goin to run boost then dont even waste yur money.

COLD AIR = MORE MONEY/NO ******* DIFFERENCE

*edit* if you really have to get an icebox but IMHO cold air is a rip off.

intake = intake = intake = intake, make a box out of some sheet metal and then run some ducting to the bumper into the box, >$20 CAI

So then **** it. Leave it the way it is. The $200 you spend for the cold air could go towards a future turbo setup.

leave it the way it is now and get a s2 intake manifold, it's best bang for it's buck.

lol, seriously! But if you do end up getting an intake, look into an ice box system. I've driven through some deep puddles with mine, and felt the filter right after....completely dry! Its not as loud as a sri nor a cai, but it does its job!
