The type s is a great car if you want a more luxurious sporty car. It'll feel a lot more powerfull in the first weeks, especially coming from a 99 civic. But you'll soon notice the cars flaws and you'll seek more hp after getting walked by a couple of more powerful cars.

Point being the car is execellent in its exterior and interior stylings, but is somewhat lacking in performance to true enthusiast. After only a few weeks you'll be thinking about turbos or sc's.

I am now kinda disappointed with fwd and most likely will trade my type s for an AWD dsm (2nd gen) or WRX. Chirping first or second gets real expensive if a cop happens to be around. I've gotten unsafe start tickets when I never came to a stop (how the **** is that possible???).

So if you really couldn't give a rats *** about trying to have the fastest car in your town and really just want a nicer ricer, go with the type s. But if your really looking for speed, trying to mod a $20000, non-turbo car isn't the way to go (especially if you want to preserve you warranty!!!)

The RSX Type-S is all right. However, if you want a bit more room, more posh, and near the price range of the Type-S, why not get the four-door version of it, the TSX? Or, if you wanna spend a bit more, how about the Honda roadster, the S2000?

Grammar owns you

"I want to buy a new car! help?" would have been a much more concise title

Go to the local dealer and drive them. Ask advice, talk to the salesman, etc.

Then when you have narrowed it down, come back and ask specific questions, if you have any.
