More pixors for you to critique...
...I hate to keep posting pics of my car but it's not really to show the car as much as get comments on my photos so I can keep improving, I hope this is cool w/ you guys. When I have other cars to shoot I'll definitely do it
Great 3 day weekend, loved every minute of it and it was way too nice not to go out in the caR and take some pixors

Tried to take some of your guys advice and bring out the background more, wait for better lighting and go for more interesting angles. Any constructive criticism is much appreciated

Amazing photo's.
But if you want to be critiqued, this pic, you have too many highlights in the backgrounder which take away, and are very distracting to the subject. Backround's half the shot.
But the backgrounds are great in the other ones...
I simply love the rest.

The pictures look pale, not very vibrant in color. The light also seems over exposed, too intense in the background. Of course, it's not like I was there in person to judge how true they are to life and compare.

for that pic
I'm going to say that the car was in the shadows
so to get the proper exposure the background had to be overexposed since it was in the sun
to combat this, you could take 2 exposures, one for the background and one for the car, then photoshop the 2 together
of course thats if you want to use photoshop
I still like the pic the way it is,

not to hijack
but this is what im talking about
background blown out
since the car was in the shadow
I personally think it adds style, but hey thats me

I thought that could be avoided in you guys's high doller cameras, but I guess not
I know Olympus has this thing were it can focus on something with one exposure, and set another for other areas. It'll show a grid on screen and you can change things accordingly to to each spot.

I wanted a good exposure for the car itself
so for that shot I increased my EV
if you just meter the background
the car in the shadows will be too dark
if you just meter the car, the background will be blown out
and if you meter the whole scene, then it tries to find the right balance
not sure about that olympus cam, but every cam Ive worked with, usually works in a similar way
