A/C compressor
hey guys, i posted this prob a couple weeks ago but got no help so here goes...
driving home from school one day, my AC was fine, blowing out nice cold *** air which makes me a happy person on a hot day, but i went home and did some tuning on my car...bleed clutch, adjust throttle cable for better idle (which worked ! yay!) and changed my spark plug wires. when i went for a drive i noticed, NO AC!!!, it was blowing out regular air!!! (which was wat used to make my car a step up from my bro's dodge stratus that had no ac!). well, i've been just goin w/ the windows down, but i prefer AC, so if anyone could help or give me some ideas as to whats wrong i'd be greatly appreciative. also how i could fix some of it

Here are tips on diagosing an A/C:
If you notice that your AC is no longer blowing cold air, first check if the compressor clutch is enggaged, while the blower and thermostat is at maximum level. If not enggaged, check for a blown fuse. If fuse still OK, chances are, refrigerant level is low. The a/c system has a sensor located at the receiver dryer. You may try to un plug the sensor and bypass it just to see if the copmressor clutch will enggage.
If it does, check for leaks. Usually leak starts in the evaporator so if you notice oily substance is present at the evaporator drain hose, You have a leaking evaporator and time to replace it. If no leaks were found, it may just needs to be recharge. Normally the ysytem leaks out about 4 OZ of refrigerant a year.
Take it to a professional shop if you don't know and don't have the equipment.
Goodluck!
