Default oka here the plm with the radiator fan switch ....

when i wired my fan switch with 1 inlet fuse for safety and it works great with the a/c fan and the radiator fan too, now when i leave it on for 8 mins the switch gets really hot and do i have to run a relay or did i wire it up wrong ? and the reason why i was force to wire up a fan because somewhere in my factory wire for the fan to come on have a short so. what could cause the switch gets hot ?
