i think its is possible, some serious gutting would probably be needed, and a good build, type r tranny wouldn't hurt either.

what kind of setups are you running on a b16 with ctr pistons, im looking into this build up.... but mines more geared toward reliablility for daily driving

b16a3 with oversized civic type-r pistons
1st gen head with portflow retainers and dual springs
integra type-r intake manifold
dc sports 4-2-1 header (soon to be comptech)
hondata s100
test pipe to resinator
skunk 2 stage 1 cams with aem cam gears

166 whp with 115 lbs torque.
....type-r throttle body, test pipe, new headers, comptech ice box with a re-tune, then we'll see some better numbers. hoping for ~185whp and ~130lbs torque

g/l, especially with the itr intake manifold. its killing your mid range and peak tq. the p30 intake manifold makes more tq on the 16 than the itr, thru the entire powerband. it makes a good amount more power under the curve.

i would sacrifice some peak power for more power under the curve, but because of the b16s tq curve, would you tune it for the most power under 8k, or tune it to peak high like 9k with as much power from 6500-9000???

12s is hard, but i think tuning for the perfect power curve would be the hardest.
