I am looking at buying a 02 Accord "special edition" with a V-6 tomorrow, it has 45000 miles on it. Are there any problems with the 02 that I might need to worry about?

 

special edition only come with 4cylinder engine.

in other word, there's only LX v6 or Ex v6

 

There's a problem with the V6 auto transmissions. Some people get good ones and some get bad ones. I wouldn't take the chance on it personally. Find out if it has had any recall work done to the transmission. If you can get a 4 cyl or stand a 4 cyl it would be a little less chance.

 

If you do get a 4 cyl, try to get one with a manual transmission.

You might hear complaints about the 4 cyls being "sluggish", that is because they have automatic transmission. My 4 cyl with manual transmission is far from sluggish.
