Default Going to have my first tig welding lesson, any tips before I go?

I'm going to be working on some projects at school and welding will be required, so some guys in the manufacturing lab are going to give me a quick tig welding lesson, so I can start practicing and hopefully get good enough at it to help build our car towards the end of the semester. It will be a tig welder, and I have never welded before. Any tips? Only experience I have is watching my cousin weld up some charge pipes for me with a mig.

Watching someone Tig who knows what they're doing is one of the best ways to learn(aside from practice). Watch the movements they use to feed the filler rod and hold the torch. Go at it willing to learn and ask all the questions you can! and let them watch you and critique your style.
Good luck man.

Well the person that will be showing me is by no means a master welder, just someone that knows how to use the machine, so I'm guessing he will just show me how to use it, and it is up to me to figure out a good method.
