JT - sorry for not calling this weekend! I was having issues with the wife on Sunday. 
Let me know if you'd still like me to come by and check out the car.
Have you had the bottom end checked out yet? I'd have it checked before you get into building the top end. Don't need to spend all that money up top if the bottom is jacked. Hopefully it's not a spun bearing or something bad like that. Did you do a compression check before you pulled the head?
