changing rear disc brakes
Ok i got the calliper off... not completely but enough to where it can pivot around so that i can take the pads on and off. but when i put the new pads in place i cant fit the calliper back on... what am i doing wrong... i opened up the bleeder valve and let alot of fluid out but i still cant get the calliper over the new pads... what should i do now?
First thing is always buy a manual for the car you own.
Open the cap on the master.
Remove any pads in the caliper.
Do you see a big X in the piston?
That has to be push in.
Use a big **** screw driver and screw the piston in or a clamp to push the piston in.
Put in the pads...finish up.
Using the search function will also help....

johnny forgot to tell you that one of his pistons are completely pushed out...
like COMPLETELY PUSHED out... ive never seen a piston that far out before.. is it fixable..?? right now he needs to figure out how to get that piston back in the cylinder cuz now its loose and looks like an eyeball that popped out of its socket..
it looks like a bigger job than what a c-clamp might accomplish..
once we figure that out, then we can get the new pads on no problem.

One way...if your willing to do it is let the pressure out of the line so theres no resistance. You'll have to bleed the system after that of course. And yes you will need more brake fluid to do this.

Rear calipers....you have to screw the piston back in.
Why did that guy say the piston was out too much? Did you step on the brake or something when the caliper was off? You usually don't have to bleed anything when you replace pads.
