I don't like the blacked-out rear lights, and the side skirts, but other than that, nice.

thanks guys

first @ w@@t w@@t
i m trial user and cant write instant messages here.
jülich is near "aachen" or just 45 km from cologne. very west of germany. near the netherland and belgium boarder.

and now my idle problem:

when i start car it dont turn on cold idle rpm like 1500... have to put pedal down by myself to rev rpm. when its warm rpm idles at about 1000 or 900. when i put ac on it falls down to 600 or so.
when i drive and turn in vtec the idle revs from itself to 3500 or 3000 and falls down again and revs and falls down... all the way. if i put key off and start the car again, all is like written above... till i get in vtec again....
got new iavc from a 50000 km type r.... 2 weeks ago when i got this problem first. it was away for nearly one week, but now came back.

when i read failures:
16 - everything is right. the car has power... dunno
32
61 - not cat will the reason or?

thanks for your help. here in germany no body has plan of honda problems. and itr is very rare here. so even not dealers.....

just have 3 postings left for today....

So, a new IACV valve helped for a week and then the problem came back.
It must be the IACV then. Maybe it broke down again?

yes could be

because it was a used one.
in germany a new one costs 325 euro. nearly 400 dollars...

ah and when i put on clima the "click" for rpm reving comes. but rpm falls....
not normal or=

so you mean i shall get a brand new iacv?

where in Nl do you live? perhaps we can meet up if my car runs smooth again....

What kind of work did you done to the car before the idle problem appear??

That idle surging problem you describe sounds like a leak from the intake manifold gasket. Have you work on the intake manifold lately??

Other things might be a vaccum leak, ignition timming is off, or sparkplugs is not gap correct. Make sure you have all the correct parts for your car...because it is every limit when it comes to getting the parts for your car.

newer worked on intake.

complete stock.
first time this problem came after a 30 km highway rund with often speeds over 200 km/h ....

that what i dont understand is that if there is another problem on the car than the iacv, why was the problem gone after installed a "new" used one....

the intake manifold gasket looks quite good from outer way looking, clean and so.
sparkplugs are new since saturday. saturday night the problem appeared first again. 100 km after spark plug change....

but first time when it appeared. i d have nothin done. just got the car 3 and a half week ago, and touched nothing just drove it 1500 km....

one post left for today :-/

how can i check for a vacuum leak?

can this all come from missing cooler fluid? lost some at the catch tank, a little sealing was broken. but made new one in and ventilators work when car stand a time with engine running

Default Re: (Jdm 98spec R)

so its my last posting for today :-( . then i hit the crappy limit for trials...

i just ordered mugen mf10 as told.

other mods:
ssr alloy adjustable suspension
ssr under rear arms
4 in 1 header
rsr exhaust no cat
rotora 4 piston brake system
injen intake --- want aem cai
carbon strut bar as on the pic
mugen water and oil cap
tsw venom,s but no that long.... hope to get mugen wheels this month.....

some more pics: http://www.turbstylez.de ---> gallery ----> sauger ---> mein itr

i want to get the car more jdm style.... where can i get good parts for that?

but again: how to find a perhaps trouble causing sealing problem?

shall i justly unmount the intake manifold and change sealing? and the sealing @ throttle body also?

haha
cant post again
but can edit....

so here are many cool cars. but all cars are often driven....
in germany there are just 920 R's
and thats rather few. so most people dunno what car it is....

tell me more ideas for the idle prob....
the amazing thing is that is occurs after vtec use. and also after had changed the iavc once. it come again. perhaps the second is broken? shall i get a new one? and then we can say no its not iavc.....

****************
wiring
also thought so. but it looks okay. can i perhaps check with an voltmeter or so?
i know hessen, its about 250 km s away.

and near the sea... got my itr from jcp in maasdijk. perhaps you know the store. made some deals for parts with the owner and so,.,...

*********************
but he got new engine in. that he wrekked it i know. 3 times or so.

but the rest is good condition. and just the idle makes stress....i dunno why....
i ll get the stressfactor out of the car....

************************
thanks for the tip w@@t
can you email me further details? sim@turbostylez.de is the adress.
thanks a lot.

and the car has many fixes. much new parts.
but this idle stress fuckes me up a lot.
will take of throttle body tomorow evening and then perhaps see if there s a hole in.
but the screaws there have original color points on. the lock tide or what....

you can also contact me on msn - turbostylez sim -
or icq 32408566

thanks

I live near the sea, so it's far away from you. Sven (ITR5874) lives in the neighborhood. In Hessen. Ask him for some advice.

Also check the wiring to the IACV valve. Maybe the connector has gone bad for the second time.

What? Is this Ton's (JCP) car? His engine was a mess. He turboed it and blew it up several times. Are you going to buy his Mugen rims?

most common vaccum leak on honda engine are from the throttle body/gasket and the intake maifold/gasket.
Another vaccum source that are known to leak is the hose from brake booster to itake manifold and the one for the feul pressure regulator.

I have ran to this idle problem before my turns out to be a bad seal on the intake manifold gasket. You may need to check that out and also...check these followings...
clean throttle body and check the seal, tighten the bolts if loosen.
check ignition timming
check sparkplugs and gapping, make sure it's the one for your motor.

Do a search on these topics if you need more references.
BTW clean car you got there

Uh oh... I hope the buyer was aware of the problem before his purchase. Sounds like it's not going to be fun fixing it...

If it's a new engine, they probably didn't connect everything correctly or some connections are worn/rusted etc.
I remember that the header on that car was dented. I don't trust that car, because I know how he treated that car.

OK. Looks like he fixed a lot of things before he sold it to you. He had Mugen MF10 rims on that car 2 years ago.

Isn't it possible to check the IACV separately?

i dunno really....

if i put of the plug, nothing changes.

can you try this @ your itrs please? so that i can see what it is?

and pleeeeease check your dealers or friends if they have such a part lyin around. will help me that much if i had one, that i know its working. if i have no real working, i dont need to look any further for errors or problems. cause this could be the weak point in the system

cause after the first change of this part. the problem was solfed. not for long, but the part was used..... and perhaps its also broken now....

and dutch:
ton made much things right with the car, many new parts, complete new engine, the only used thing is alternator and waterpump and so,....

and who of you guys have connections to alloy radiators?
i need race spec.

I see in the Shop Manual that there is a method to test it. Do you have the Shop Manual?

Stock radiator is good enough IMO.
